Guide

Guide. Isaiah 58:11 – “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” How does God guide you? How do you know?  #cumc #findingyourquiet #lentenphotochallenge2020

I wasn’t so sure where to go with today’s word. But when I started looking through my pictures from the past year, this one touched me. This is from the day that Hubby and I rode our bikes around town with Kirby so that he could hide the many rocks he had painted. (Our city does this and can be found on Facebook at ChamplinRocks!) . ANyway, all day my heart was bursting with pride as Kirby hid his rocks and as he chose his locations. My heart was super swollen when he wanted to hide his last two at our church. He hid one inside the purple door’s hole (for a doorknob) and the other one, the most important one by our church front door. On it, he had painted “Love.” He said when he put it down to “hide it,” that people would always find love at our church. My eyes teared up at his simple phrase and his insight. Yes, love will always be found at our church, Buddy.

What a beacon of light to guide us…God’s love…and God’s love through the eyes of a child. Priceless.

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
