
Today’s word is spirit. The reading comes from Ephesians 3:16-19. “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Many times I have experienced the spirit moving me. It’s almost always out in nature – where I really find my quiet, but I have to say I am getting better at finding quiet spaces in other places these days… right smack in the middle of my days.
As I was scrolling through pictures tonight, this one caught my eye. I took this last June down by the Mississippi River. The boys and I were down by the river watching the water, as we headed out to leave, I noticed this HUGE bird across the parking lot. Kirby and I went to explore while Punky pouted at the car because he wanted to go home. Kirby and I spent almost a half hour beneath the branch where this handsome fellow was perched. I snapped so many pictures, but the most beautiful one I got was when he flew off. His wings were massive. He was majestic. Kirby was in awe, and so was his mama!
