Anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for Mason jars. (And anyone who knows me, knows when I have a thing….I go all out. Like my thing for bowls, my thing for Dr. Seuss, my thing for Rae Dunn pottery pieces, my thing for markers and planners, the list goes on….)
Anyway, I digress.
I love Mason jars. Let’s just see how awesome they are…

Now, this post is turning into a time-suck as i look around for pictures on my hard drive, but you get the idea. I love Mason jars. We drink out of them for dinner each night. I use them as vases around the house. I use them to hold pens on my desk.
They are so versatile. So simple. So many colors. Super durable (like when I freeze my homemade bone broth in them all the time). All of these are like God’s love. Simple. Versatile. Durable. Colorful – encompassing all colors of the rainbow). Useful. Jars can be full. Jars can be empty – depending on what our needs are at that point. God’s love is always with us – sometimes more encompassing when we are cradled in his love (we feel full), and sometimes it’s just there (like the air in an empty jar) to let us know things are ok. Look how beautiful bone broth is in a jar. Look how beautiful we are in God’s love.
I know I could go deeper into the Elisha story from the scripture, but I am not going to lie. These late nights writing have been catching up to me. I need some sleep.
My hope is that you have been blessed with God’s all encompassing love, you use it to help see the joy, beauty, and love around you, and that you help spread it everywhere you go.
There’s way too much hate in the world. Let’s use a simple item, like a Jar, like God’s love to make a difference in this crazy world.

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
