Election Day always finds me trying to stay busy with a pit in my stomach.   Election day is a bittersweet day.  I am so proud to be able to vote.  I am proud to be an American.  But I am scared.

What scares me each election?

The red states.

I do have to say that I am a bit hesitant to listen to the media channels who have already called it a democratic win.  Presidential election of 2000 has left me quite skeptical of watching numbers and believing the “news.”   For this is a far earlier bedtime than I thought I’d have tonight!   I was sure I’d be glued to the television or computer all night long.

Congratulations President Obama on your re-election.   Let’s get things done.  Show all those naysayers what you are made of!  Hold true to your values and your ideals.  Continue to make us proud to be American.  Good luck and God Bless!

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
