Punky has his Blue, the blue blanket made for him by Aunt Jeanne.  Last February, Blue needed to be washed, but we couldn’t tear it away from him.  So, Hubby and I told him that on President’s Day, we were going to wash Blue.   Punky agreed that was ok.   President’s came and passed….and we washed Blue.   Since then, we’ve never had to make a deal with him about washing Blue…. he just lets us.

Yesterday, when I was picking Punky up from daycare, Kelly and I were chatting about plans we had for President’s Day.  Punky chimed in, “Hey Mama, President’s Day!!!!   That means we need to wash Blue!”

How does the boy remember EVERYTHING?!?!?!  I wish I could borrow a bit of his super-memory!

That’s so awesome! It’s amazing to me how easily our little ones remember the smallest details! 🙂

I remember the anguish of “blanket washing day.” How clever of you to have figured out a way to get around that–and amazing memory your little Punky has!

My daughter has the same memory. She can remember things that we’ve said in passing 6 months ago as well as the context it was said in. However, can she remember to practice her violin, take her shoes off at the door, and feed the dogs?? No.
