Excuse me?

I overheard this on the radio this weekend:on-air-mic

Radio Announcer: We are here speaking with Patsy Cline’s daughter.   Say, how ironic is it that one of your mother’s last big hits was “I Fall to Pieces” and then she dies in a plane crash?

Yes, you read that correctly.  I almost dropped the milk carton I was carrying when I heard that!

WHAT?!?!?!?!

That was so tactless.

Please, please tell me you are joking? Tactless doesn’t even begin to describe my reaction – I’m thinking Mr. DJ needs to learn a lesson (at least a suspension w/o pay).

I want to know how the daughter reacted. That’s awful!

My hell. If she was sitting there I hope she decked him.

No, sh enervously laughed and went on to talk about something else. This guy is OLDER than God, and probably shouldn’t be on the radio anymore. The station always seems to make sure that someone else is there with him.

Still…. that was so wrong on so many levels!

That is unbelievable all too believable. I listened to a radio show ask James Blunt if he minded that his name had become rhyming slang!

I want to say I am shocked and amazed, but sadly, I am neither. How sad for Patsy Cline’s daughter to have to hear something like that, how classy that she just changed the subject discreetly.

(PS: welcome home to Chicago tomorrow 🙂 )
