I have been trying to save some money and ditch unnecessary calories each day, so I have been making my coffee at home….and drinking it black….with Splenda added to it.  This cuts my visits to Caribou Coffee; however, I have been making Caribou Coffee’s coffee at my house (I buy it at SuperTarget).   I thought I would try to save even more money and went to Costco to buy coffee.  I was so excited when I saw Caribou Coffee there, but then as I was putting it into my cart, I noticed that they only sold whole bean, not ground; so I was screwed.   Being a new black coffee drinker, I had no clue how to pick a coffee…so I bought the Kirkland’s dark roast coffee for WAY cheaper, and went on my way.  I made the Kirkland’s coffee this week.   😦  Blech.  I will be buying the Caribou Blend again!

Thsi week was COLD here.  That is an understatement really!  The last two days, the thermometer outside my bathroom window has been at -29 degrees!  Yes, you read that right!  That is without the windchill!  With the windchill, our temps hovered about -40 to -30 below out in the suburbs.  Was school cancelled?  Umm…..NO!  😦  Seriously.   This weather is inhumane.  The district made school “optional” for kids to come.  WHAT?!?!?  Optional!?!?!?  Hmmmmmmm if you were a kid and had the option to come or stay home with an excused absence….what the hell would have you done?!?!?  That’s right….I had numerous empty seats in each class.

I just checked the UPS tracking site and my vacuum is out on the truck for delivery…..so guess what I will be doing tonight?  😉   I’m excited!   I’ll be able to breathe again!

Did I just write that?  It’s Friday night and I’ll be vacuuming?!?!?!?  😉

We had school and the big kicker was last night we had conferences! Then today we only worked til 10am (comp time)so no students…but the poor elementary kids had school…so my point being…we could have easily called off school…argghhhh.

Have fun vacuuming…. sounds like my kind of Friday! TGIF

When we lived in Alaska, the kids had outside recess to -25 degrees!

    Stay warm.

Oh, and get a grinder. Your coffee will taste so much better with freshly ground beans than previously ground ones.

Oh, and I’m glad your vacuum got on the truck.

    UPS is not my friend.

Our costco had a nice cusinart burr grinder for under $30. I picked one up, and so far I am impressed. And over time, it, along with the whole bean cofee you buy at a store vs. the coffee shop, pays for itself.
