When we were in Chicago visiting my family, we went to the bowling alley with my mom and dad to watch them bowl on their monthly league.   MANY of my aunts, uncles,  cousins also are there as either league participants or spectators.  Punky loves to go to the bowling alley to watch “Gwandma” and “Gwandpa” bowl.   While we were sitting there, I got the bright idea of seeing if a lane was available and bowling with Punky.  I also asked 2 of my younger cousins if they’d like to bowl with us.

We rented our shoes, found our bowling balls, lowered the “bumpers,” and started our game.

Punky had so much fun!  After a little coaxing, he put on the bowling shoes.  When it was his turn, he proudly picked up his 6 pound ball, and trotted down to the lane to bowl.  He was so much fun to watch!   He got a 39!   (Hubby did really well too, a 139…..but remember we had the bumpers in!)

Its interesting that even the first time bowler has the natural inclination to try to steer the bowling ball by leaning!

    39 is an admirable score!

Sounds like you had good fun. I love bowling with the Kids because having the sides up is the only way I can get a respectable score. This was all fine until last time when Bart beat me! … We have not been back since 🙂

Beau—very true! That’s what I thought of when I saw him do that! How did he know? LOL

Mr. Geek – Yes, I still beat Punky this time, but I could see NOT going any more when he starts winning! LOL!

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
