Dear Punky,

You are such an amazing little guy.   A hug, a “Mama,”  or smile from you just melts my heart.   You have brought us so much joy these past three years! It’s been so precious to watch you grow and learn about life.  Your inquisitiveness and your determination take you far!  You have such a little personality.

You are growing up so fast!  You say the funniest things that just make my day.   I could hear you ask for a “Hanga-burger” everyday!  (That’s Punkinese for hamburger.)   I love that you are so outgoing and so friendly.   You’re so polite, too!   Today, a man you didn’t know held the door open for us and you turned to him and smiled and said, “Thank you!”  It made me beam!

I love that you love to read.  Just this past week you started to laugh when we read books with subtle humor.  I wish I

could cuddle up with you all day and read to you!  You get so excited!

It makes my day when you ask, “Momma can you sit by me?” while I’m in the kitchen making dinner and you’re in the living room.    I  love when you “help” me “cook” by  bringing your stool up to the counter and chatting with me while we make dinner.

You help me remember everyday what is important in life…..and you do it just by being YOU!

I just want you to know that I love being your Mommy!  It’s my favorite thing to do each day!

And as we say to each other numerous times every day…

“I love you through and through…..yesterday….today…..and tomorrow, too!”
