I don’t want to keep posting about politics, but Mr. Geek posted about this on his blog, and I am speechless. (So, yes, it is Mr. Geek’s fault!) 😉
Go ahead……take a look….. Just a peek…..Here. If you don’t have time to read it, here is a short synopsis:
People concerned about the state of science and science education in the US created a group called Science Debate 2008. They called for a presidential debate on science. After a long process of weeding through thousands of questions, they compiled a list of 14 questions ranging from environment, space, stem cell research, etc (to name a few). So far Obama has replied, and McCain claims he will, but has yet to do so.
It is a very interesting read. In fact, it is really comforting to know that Obama has been keeping abreast with science and technology (or as Mr. Geek says, at least employed someone to tell him about it). He would like to allow science to keep progressing without ANY political interference.

Who says Obama is vague?!?!? Good grief….What a breath of fresh air for us as Americans. Obama at least has a clue what it’s like to live in this century – what it’s like to use our technology and knowledge to better our world.
Now, how can I get the past 8 years back in our country’s history? I’m waiting to see McCain’s answers to these questions. I doubt I’ll be surprised by his answers….but I will read what he has to say.
Until then…..
Go Obama!
