We went to the beach today with 2 of my friends and their little guys. The beach is actually a man-made chlorinated and filtered swimming pond, complete with a sand beach. They have huge umbrellas spaced out along the beach shores so that you can either find a shaded place or a sunny spot for the day. It’s perfect for little guys with their moms and dads!

It was so much fun to watch the kids! Here’s a little video taken as the kids were “warming up” to the idea of a beach…….Punky had so much fun!

Here’s video of B chasing Punky into the water….. these two were hilarious together! We played MANY rounds of Ring Around the Rosie in the water with them!

The scariest part of the whole trip was when over the PA system they asked everyone to clear out as there was a missing 4 1/2 year old girl. They asked all parents to check with their kids then form a human chain across the pond so that they could make a quick sweep of the water. After about 5 nerve-racking minutes, they found the little girl….she had ventured away from the park. Man, that was scary…

Some pictures of the boys having fun…..

Punky pulling a wagon through the water

Brennan playing with a wheelbarrow

Baby Jack playing with his tractor

Punky sitting in the water

Punky on the go

(Is anyone else humming the “na na na” sound from Six Million Dollar Man?

Brennan walking along the beach

Jack looks up.....

Run!

For $2 a day……….we have to do this more often! 🙂

Oh wow, was this at Elm Creek!? If it was, I have’t been there in 10 years. I have such fond memories of going there all the time, every summer as a kid.

My favorite was the swimming and the amazingly huge playground! Though now that I think about it, all the stuff I enjoyed there and the way it was designed back in the day would be a safety hazard now, and probably got changed to those plastic jungle gyms. *chuckle*

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
