1. My grandpa – He taught me that God doesn’t give you anymore than He knows you can handle. I lost him at age 14…..but think of him daily…..I always wonder what he would think of me now……or what I would think of Punky and Hubby.
  2. My mom- let’s say, what hasn’t she taught me??? (Besides how to sew! LOL, Mom!) She’s amazing! SHe taught me to be me, to be caring, and to know that I could be anythign I wanted to be! Her biggest compliment to me was when we were driving to my Uncle’s funeral and she and my dad were talking about how it takes guts to move away from where you grew up to start fresh and succeed….and that she was so proud of how I had done that. I love you, Mom……..even though it sucks that we live so far away now! 😦
  3. My dad – He taught me how to stand up for what I believe in, how to let things go……, how to say “NO,” how to work hard, how to throw like a boy, and how to tie a square knot. I love you, Dad!
  4. My grandma…..The wise one. I can always call her and she is AWESOME at putting things in perspective for me! I love you, too!
  5. My brother – he taught me how to let things roll right off my back!
  6. My sister – taught me why it’;s important to NOT be talking on a cell phone in the car…..(just kidding!) She has taught me that it’s not important in life what you do……it’s REALLY important as to how you make others feel while you are doing it!
  7. My mother-in-law – wow. words cannot describe the strength and courage she taught me. I miss you!!!!
  8. Mrs. Olson – my 3rd and 4th grade teacher – she taught me what a good teacher looks like, what she does, and how to connect with kids!
  9. My Hubby – he taught me how to be myself, how to let God in, how to be in love, load a dishwasher (just kidding!) and how to be the best that I can be!
  10. Punky – my son – he taught me what’s it like to LOVE with your whole heart….and more!
  11. Tinjaw – he teaches me how to put things in perspective, how to keep going, and how to be optimistic!
  12. Art – he taught me not to take a single moment for granted…..to love everyone around you like it’ s your last day with them….and to be HAPPY!
  13. Uncle Matt – What a fighter. He also taught me about courage, optimism, and strength. I miss you (and your emails!) but I know you are in a better place.

It’s a blessing to be able to list 13 people in your family who have taught you life lessons. Some people can barely name five. You are truly bless to be able to look to your family when in need of inspiration.

What an amazing family you have! So lovely to listen to you talk about them…And I had a third grade teacher named Mrs. Ozmun. Close, but not exact. She was the one that I thought of as I decided I’d like to be a teacher. She was lovely.
