This week’s 10 on Tuesday’s Topic: Ten Songs that Bring Back Memories and Why…
(Ok, I am going to use the term “songs” loosely…..)
Here we go…
- What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong – This song has always reminded me of my grandpa…and what he taught me.
- The End of the Road – Boys II Men – This song came out as I was graduating form high school and moving on in life…it used to make me cry at night
- Celebration – Kool & the Gang -This song reminds me of the summer trips to my Aunt’s house where my sister and I would put on a “concert” when our parents would come pick us up. We had stick/twig guitars, mikes made of huge sticks that would be stuck into the fork of the tree so we could play our “keyboards” and guitars while we sang….and a bench we bellowed from. It was really quite a “treat” for all involved! LOL!
- Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence – Depeche Mode – AND the Pretty Woman Soundtrack – Various artists – All of these catchy tunes bring me back to high school days
- Red Red Wine – UB40 – High School Volleyball practices….this song always seemed to be playing during serving practice!
- A Groovy Kind of Love – Phil Collins (remade from the Mindbenders) – My very 1st slow dance…
- The BodyGuard Soundtrack- brings back LOTS of college memories!
- Chicago Soundtrack – Hubby and I saw this movie, loved the songs, and then saw the musical. What fun songs! This helps us drive through that LONG patch of boring road on our way down to Illinois…..you know that part where you are so sick of driving….so tired….and you just want to be there! That’s the one!
- Truly, Madly, Deeply – Savage Garden – This song came out right after I met my husband…and I was hooked!
- From This Moment On – Shania Twain – Beautiful song that always makes me think of Hubby.
