Today at school, all was going well…..I was getting back into the swing of things.,…and trying to catch up from being out most of last week.   Then, I was sitting at my computer at 12:50 PM working on my Entourage calendar, and my computer screen went black…..as did my classroom.    Because I have no windows or emergency lighting in my room, I felt a bit like Helen Keller trying to locate the door without banging into desks and bookshelves!

The power stayed off for the rest of the day…. leaving me on my prep for 3 hours! (We couldn’t safely move the kids from classrooms, so we decided to stay put in our 5th hour classes until further notice)    😀   Man, is someone looking out after me upstairs, or what!?!?!?  I got LOTS of work done, and although I am still quite behind, I feel much better about getting a bit caught up!

The power went back on as the last bus was rolling out of our parking lot….. Murphy’s Law?

I am heading off to bed……let’s hope Day 3 isn’t as eventful as Day 2!   Heheheheee!

you totally suck! I LOST my 7th hour prep. . .cuz I had those darn kids in my room for 3 hours!!! (it could have been worse – it could have been my 3rd/4th hour block. . . EEK!)

Ahem – however I will not complain that I had a bunch of 8th graders help me label and sort the new math materials that were delivered to my room right before lunch. 🙂 *cough cough* – of course this was AFTER our “lessons” were done – but BEFORE we brought out the “silent ball.”

Thanks! 😀 I would have died if I had my 4th hour kids all day!!! I’m so glad it was 5th hour!

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
