I took Punky to the park near our house this afternoon.  He had a BLAST!  He was funny to watch as he tried to walk in the sand with his shoes on, but once he got the hang of it, he toddled off to have fun!  We started on the “toddler” gyms, but he quickly grew tired of those and kept pointing up to the “big kids’” slides.  (He’s been down some at teh park by my parents’ house in IL).  So, we walked up the 3 flights of stairs to get up to the top of the structure.  This is where he decided he could say hi to everyone within a 100 yard radius of the park.  It was also here that I saw  two Gothic teenagers kissing in one of the “tube slides.”  But, Punky had no qualms about saying “HI!” (loudly) to them too!   I had to giggle!   They were nice about it and said “hi” in return.

We went down the slides several times until Punky got tired of climbing up all of those stairs.  Then, we retreated to the toddler area again.   This time, he was enthralled with all of the sand.   He’d pick it up in his hands and just let it slide right through his fingers.   This made him giggle to the point of hiccups!

We then discovered the toddler slide, and he continued with his hiccups!  The toddler swing also had the same result…more hiccups!

After about an hour at the park, we decided to come home to meet Daddy who was home from work by then.

It was a fun afternoon.   I like being able to enjoy times like these…I just wish I could do more of them every day… BUT at least I have my summers off! Right?

Those are nice slides at “teh park by [your] parents’ house”. 🙂 You need to work on your keyboarding skilz.

Mr. Krause with the smack down!

I’d say I need to watch the spelling, etc. in my comments more closely, but then again, I don’t teach English for a living.

    Ouch! 😦

So, I am a lousy keyboarder…..I only hate the word THE!

    I kind of like “teh!”

It’s all part of my charm!

As far as teaching English… I teach it to kids with reading and writing disabilities! Maybe they are starting to rub off on me! 😀

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
