That’s what my Grandpa used to say to us every Easter morning…so that is what I always say now as an adult. I sure wish Grandpa was still here today. I’d love for him to see my family in person! (I know he’s with me in spirit each and every day).

Today was a fun day although Punky was in a “mood.” He was very tired and super-clingy (which I loved, but this is not always conducive to being away from home). [Side-note: He started giving me kisses with his mouth this weekend. Up until now, he has always offered me his cheek so that I could kiss him whenever I asked him for a kiss. Now, he’s learning how to get to Mommy’s heart even faster!] 🙂

Church was a bit crazy as Punky didn’t have the nursery to go to today during the service. Hubby was singing in the choir, so I was at the command center by myself with the boy. He was squirmy and did not want to sit during the service. So, during the sermon, we walked around the Narthex, which was ok as I could still hear the message over the speakers there. He liked to watch the choir sing, and during the Prayer time, he decided to stand on the pew and play “Peek” with Grandpa who was sitting behind him.

He fell asleep on the way home from church which was a HUGE clue that he was tired! He never takes morning naps anymore! SO, we let him sleep for about an hour, then he got up, discovered his basket from E. Bunny, and then we traveled across town to my in-laws house for Easter dinner.

He did well at their house until he fell off the step and fell backward smacking his head on the landing. He was quite upset, and it took quite awhile to calm him down. After he settled down, he fell asleep in my lap for another 45 minutes or so.

After his second nap, he was in a great mood! He was playing with his bubbles (See video posted above).

We left their house and headed back home. Punky had dinner and we got him ready for bed.

I really miss seeing my family on Easter, but I guess seeing them last weekend was GREAT, too. I just miss the “Big” (extended) family get together at Grandma’s house for dinner. Some day….

I CAN’T BELIEVE SPRING BREAK IS OVER, AND I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK TOMORROW!    😦

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
