ok, so I decided to not spend the money and fight the crowds at the portrait studio for Punky’s Christmas picture on our cards this year. So, Hubby went out for the evening with his friends, and Punky and I decided to begin our photo shoot endeavor!

First of all, Punky LOVES electronics! So, I set the background up, grab some props, change his clothes into his cute Christmas outfit, and plop him down ready to roll… and then I grab the camera. Yes, this causes Punky to get up, and toddle over to me, trying to grab the camera strap and the camera while I am trying to “talk him” back to his place. That didn’t work. So, there he sits, cute as can be, playing with the camera…………and I have NO WAY OF RECORDING THESE CUTE MOMENTS because he is holding my means hostage! So, I quickly think what I could get to distract him away from the camera……..Ah ha……..Hubby has an old movie camera downstairs…..so I go and grab that. Bring it upstairs to Punky, and notice that the eye of the camera has had some melting, and there is a black rubbery residue on my hands now from handling it. So, that doesn’t work. Ah Ha Part 2……grab his cell phone……doesn’t work, because the camera is more fascinating. Ok, next ah-ha moment……..run downstairs and grab my old palm pilot. AH HA! That works….for about 3 minutes! I did get a few cute pictures, but many of my photos have half his head or half his body as he was constantly moving out of the frame! So, next idea……….my cell phone….thinking anything that beeps or is shiny like the camera will work….. that’s great until he shows me that he now knows how to open my cell phone! Ok, so I pick my battles….and let this one go…..until I hear the recording, “Your call cannot be placed as dialed…..” WHAT?? I go to grab the phone to hang it up, and I get my favorite picture of the day…….

I did get 2 cute pictures for our Christmas cards, but this one was PRICELESS…(and no, I didn’t use this one!)

Now, I am off to bed…..I am beat. I was up from 1 AM – 3:30 AM with the little teething, congested boy.

BTW, GO BEARS!!!!!!!   (I love when we beat the Vikings!)
