yesterday, my sister was in a car accident….man…that gut dropping phone call puts EVERYTHING in perspective….and thank you God for airbags! a semi pulled out in front of her to turn left and she slammed into it going 50 mph! Not much is left of her brand new Murano. Thankfully, her little guy was not in the car. She was brought to the hospital, and thankfully escaped with only a broken wrist, a large burn on her neck from the seatbelt, a few bruises on her arms and collarbone and a shaken up/shocked feeling about life. She called me in tears when she was discharged last night. She thought she was going to die when she hit… I feel terrible for her. How do you care for a little guy with a broken right wrist? (Of course, you could say a least she is here on earth still to care for her little guy!) So, it was a crazy night last night with phone calls and whatnot. Mom and Dad were en route to Chicago from Vancouver where they spent the weekend, so they landed late last night and had no clue what awaited them when they walked off the plane. As a mom, I wouldn’t want that phone call… that’s one of my biggest fears in life these days.

my other biggest fear is also being challenged today. I am bringing Punky to the hospital to visit the daughter of one of my colleagues. She’s had numerous surgeries, rounds of chemotherapy and whatnot as she has been battling cancer. Punky boy will hopefully cheer her up a bit as she recovers from this last surgery…I don’t know how I would handle this if it ever happened to my child……God gave her family some amazing strength.

i am off….i’ll keep ya posted on my sis! THANK GOD SHE IS OK!!!!!

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
