Punky is ONE! WOW! How time flies! All day today, I’d look at the clock and could tell you exactly what I was doing one year ago!
Hubby stayed home from his church meetings tonight, and we had his parents over for dinner and cupcakes in honor of Punky’s 1st Birthday. We had a really nice evening.
Punky of course was covered in frosting and goop from the cupcakes, so I gave him a bath. Then, we came back downstairs for presents! Grandma and Grandpa gave him some jammies, and a shirt, and money for college. Mommy and Daddy got him a toy animal train from Fisher Price… and he LOVED it! What a hoot he was to watch as the train sang and moved across the room!

Then, we put on some old records of kids songs from hubby’s childhood and Punky danced away for us. He even stomped around turning in a circle during one song! It was precious! Then, we called it a night…and he went to bed.
This past weekend was his party in Illinois with my family. It went well! He had a lot of fun, and he got so many nice gifts! Grandma and Grandpa gave him a small wooden table and chairs for him to use when he gets a bit older! They also gave him some clothes and money for his college fund, and of course, his adorable birthday party outfit. (I’ll have to post a picture!) Auntie Tabby, Uncle Geoff, Rufus, Uncle Mikey, and Aunt Jeanne pitched in for a cute little red chair from Pottery Barn with his name embroidered on the back. He just loves sitting in it! He looks like a little king! He received so many nice gifts!
Last Friday, we went to the Pumpkin Farm! It was so much fun to watch the two boys! I could write a novel about the trip to Chicago, but tonight is not the night. I am tired, and Hubby needs to get online, too…….
Good night and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET PEA! Mommy loves you!

Let me know what you’re thinkin’!
