it’s been a fun weekend with my parents visiting from IL. It’s fun to watch them interact with Punky…and he just ADORES them. His laugh is infectious when he gets going with grandpa!

Punky and I met them at their hotel in downtown Minneapolis this morning and went for a long walk down Nicollet Mall and Marquette. We saw the Mary Tyler Moore statue, too! That was cool! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it before! Punky just loved all the fresh air and watching the surroundings! He had fun!

Then we went for a drive since Punky fell asleep in the car, we’d thought he’d get his nap in this way. When he work up an hour later, we went home for lunch…then off to the Apple Orchard! It was Punky’s first visit there. Of course, he didn’t know much about where he was or what was going on this year, but it was neat to watch him take it all in. He didn’t like when the goat at the petting zoo licked his hand. He let Mommy finish feeding the goat. (Although he loved standing and tugging at the fence while watching teh animals and the other kids.) We bought caramel apples, apple butter and yummy apple cider! We held off on the honeycrisp apples, as they were cheaper at Cub this week!

Tonight we went out to dinner at MoonRock with my parents and my in-laws. Punky was a riot! He was such a flirt with the waitresses and passing patrons! He had a lot of fun!

After we gt home, it was bath-time for Punky then bedtime. I drove mom and dad back to their hotel downtown, and now I am heading for bed, too.
